Tractors

After twenty years in abeyance, the village fete has made a comeback.  It was a small affair but the concours d'élegance (or perhaps inélegance) of tractors was there.  I remember lots of farm standing engines chugging away in previous times but there was just one today.   It was far too hot to linger and I have spent the rest of the day trying to keep cool as I find the heat combined with the humidity far more oppressive than similar temperatures in France.
