Wackelstein

...translated as 'Wobble Stone' or 'Rocking Stone' only it doesn't seem to wobble anymore according to Hubby who is pictured on top of it. The 2 bikes in the foreground are to prove to my doubting friends that I actually ride my bike, occasionally.
We had dusted off our bikes and rode to Wackelstein this afternoon. It is only about a 6 km each way ride but I hadn't been on the bike for 2 years. It was mostly uphill all the way but only slight gradients so not too hard but the track had been evened out with stones all the way. Not just a bit of light gravel but sturdy granite stones to take the weight of tractors and the forest ranger vehicles that look after the area. The rock is just near our friends' house who are renovating so we called in for a cool drink and to give them a break from working.
Riding back was a lot worse; freewheeling downhill bumpity bump all the way and hanging on to the handlebars for grim death to avoid being catapulted off the bike. (I am sure Hubby put way too much air in my tyres) The vibrations were hurting my shoulders and the arthritis in my wrists but my legs were fine. It was such a relief to get onto the asphalted road as we got closer to home. Next time I am choosing the route.

Topic ' Silly Mistakes'
I was about to mention a funny/silly story in a blip when I thought that this would make a good MM topic.
I would like to hear a story about a silly mistake/story and somehow illustrated by your MM photo. Be obscure or literal or irrelevant as you like but I am looking forward to something to make us all chuckle.
