these little girls had a stand outside their house. they are pretty cute but when I stopped to ask what they were selling they showed me a tattered ball of yarn and said$10. !!! yikes I said. What else ?
Well, you could have a bag of rocks for 5.
or the half-finished jug of juice ( sitting out all day in the hot sun ) for 10.
I was speechless but offered them a toonie each if I could take a picture of them at their stand. They happily obliged; it's a gray shot but I do wonder about the skewed prices. The reminded me in a way of the sharecroppers' children in the Depression.
