Rocky Mountain Moments

Air Show

Several times each day there are three Ospreys that put on a show over the campground, swooping down and around and squawking at each other.  I wanted to wait until I got a really good shot of one but I didn't take many pictures today and this was the best of them.

Our overnight guests had all of their belongings back on their bikes by the time we got up at 7:30 and they were having their breakfast down by the lake.  After we said our goodbyes they rode out at about 8:15.  It worked out perfectly because we had planned to go out for breakfast with Rick and Susie at 9:00.  We went to a local restaurant for their Father's Day brunch which was great.  Some of you know that Piper is a service dog for her dad who has PTSD so she goes everywhere with us.  So, dressed in her red vest, she went into the restaurant with us and laid down under the table.  We had our breakfast and the waitress never brought our check.  Rick had said it was his treat so he asked for the check but the waitress said it was taken care of by the family at the next table.  Ed was wearing his Vietnam Vet cap and they were so impressed with Piper's good manners that they thanked him for his service and said they wanted to treat us all to breakfast.

Other than a few walks with Piper, the rest of the day was kind of lazy, just hanging around relaxing.  :-)
