Mono Monday: Silly Mistake

Once upon a time, a former owner of our house planted some bamboo....  

Bamboo thrives and spreads and ours is no exception, having spread widely over the years.  So much so that it is now trying to colonise next door's driveway, which makes us jolly popular with our neighbours as you can imagine.  In desperation we have chopped it back and have been attacking the root system with chemicals.  We will eventually dig out as much of the root system as possible, but its going to take years and years to eradicate the stuff, if we even can.

Its been a bit warm today here in our bit of the UK - definitely in the low 30s here in Bristol.  We are all melting!
