3 Grebe Chicks Have Just Hatched

Three pairs of Great Crested Grebes have been nesting on Kinghorn Loch.  The first to hatch have three young riding on their mother's back (two visible in the 'extra'). 

Unfortunately, the quality is poor because they are so far away and I had to go beyond optical zoom and into the realms of digital zoom. I didn't deem it good enough for the main blip which shows a closer male grebe still waiting for his brood to hatch at another nest site.

Also at the loch was a Canada Goose. I have never seen one here since I started visiting 10 years ago. I wonder if he/she will stick around?
