Golden Poppy

A beautiful sunny day and this poppy caught my eye.

Dazzlingly golden with the sunshine and an insect (hover fly) through in for good measure.

My intended blip was going to be a ladybird snacking on greenfly. How excited I was. In my attempt to get a clean shot I snapped off a leaf from the rose bush that was in the line of the camera but in doing so managed to also catapult the ladybird off the plant!
