Got some news late late last night that my sister had a wee boy ;)
She was given an emergency c-section two hours after them starting her induction because the umbilical cord had wrapped itself around the baby's neck and feet.
We only got the briefest of messages last night from Matt (her hubby) who had actually missed the birth as he had to look after Rachel.
And then there was no news for almost 24 hours. We didn't know what to think as the few times that we tried his mobile it was going straight to answer machine. Popped round to see my mum as I knew she'd be going demented - and luckily we got another call today to say that everything was okay. They had just had a really busy time of it organising everything.
No names mooted as yet. I'm just so chuffed for them.

Spent the evening at Geoff and June's for dinner. William was pretty unfazed - even when Geoff started magnifying the world for him.
I've known Geoff and June pretty much all my life. They met whilst June was at Art college - and Geoff was teaching oil painting there. Geoff's painted all his life - and although he is pretty established now -it's a pretty tough existance financially.
They always take a keen interest in my blip. Even though neither of them have ever really been near a computer they still ask about it... Geoff said tonight that he thought the discipline of taking pictures every day - come rain or shine - was the only way to really improve at taking pictures. Coming from him - pretty much unprompted - I thought that really interesting.
I've blipped Geoff and June quite a lot actually...
-Geoff was the subject of my first ever blip...
-This is a portrit that I did of June next to her birthday present.
-Another of June
-And yet another of June.
-Geoff again
-And one of Geoff's pictures
