At the Post Mill

Top right:. The mill's post. This is the post detailed on yesterday's blip. The wood's growth rings were recorded showing the tree started to grow in 15 century and was cut down in 17 century.

Bottom right: Mill related items including coins found in the mill, old photos of our mill and bags of flour milled by another working mill in support of our restoration project.

Left: Some people climbed inside the mill but I will wait until the handrails are installed.

Once the restoration is complete ownership will pass from the council to a village trust which has been set up for its future upkeep.
