On both sides of the road

The event of the day was moving the cattle across the road to a new paddock. As usual, the first move of the summer was not easy. I took this half an hour after we started, and as you can see, many cows and heifers are still in the old paddock. The situation was not much better when the rain clouds came above us and we had to take a break.

I came back when the rain was almost over, and more than a half of the ones we had managed to move had moved themselves further to the next paddock. We had to bring them back and fix the fence before continuing the effort to move the rest. And that still took more than an hour!
