Cleopatra's needle
Happy Summer Solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere and Happy Winter Solstice to all in the Southern Hemisphere !
On this longest day for us above the Equator I'm Blipping this very long flowerhead, Eremurus Stenophyllus, otherwise known as Cleopatra's needle in The Netherlands and as narrow-leaved foxtail lily in the UK, take whatever name you like :-)
It's 20 past 9 pm over here and the sun is not down yet. It's also the official start of Summer but somehow it feels as if it's been Summer for ages, as temperatures have been soaring for weeks now.
Remember tomorrow's optional Abstract Thursday theme is 'inside' and the tag will be AT104 !
Thanks very much for your kind comments, stars and even a fave for yesterday's parsley flowers with hoverfly
