The Avon on the Longest Day
It was a pretty long day. Once again so warm in the office, although I must admit that where I sit is nowhere near as bad as upstairs where the majority of our staff are. The last thing I did before I left this evening was to order a small worktop freezer for the kitchen at work, so we can store ice-cubes for our water. Currently we have the fridge filled with bottles of water to keep it cool, but then there is no space left for people's lunches. Someone was going to collect it this evening, so with any luck it will be up and working tomorrow.
We had tickets for "Casting" at The Attic Theatre in Stratford this evening, so drove over there after a quick salad. Once more, it was an excellent production. We have never been disappointed there.
There were so many people about when we came out of the theatre at about 9:30pm. (which is when I took this photo). This is the view of the old boat house, part of which is now a Thai restaurant, along with the main vehicle bridge across the river, which leads on to the town towards the left of this shot. There were also many swans, ducks and geese about, probably enjoying the cooler evening air.
