Pets

It seems that the only veg/herbs I am growing this year are for the rabbits.  Still, at least they enjoy it when I feed them courgettes.  However, the kids have redeemed themselves today by getting over their fussiness and we all ate the same meal (a sort of pasta bake - but with ricotta  and spinach which would normally make them run a mile in the direction of plainer food).

Slightly discombobulating day, with CarbBoy finished at lunch time.  Good job he was since it was him who noticed that Plouf (sp?) (a fish) was doing backstroke in a not very effective way...  So, no bringing this one back from the dead - Plouf has officially left the aquarium.  (He was a smallish orange goldfish and - I have to admit - it is only now that he has something very obvious to differentiate him from the other small goldfish that I can say his name with any certainty.)

Having lost a nameless guppy on our return from holiday (probably travel shock) I think TallGirl is feeling a bit nervous of her pet keeping abilities.  But I didn't feel it was a good time to start quoting stats about just how many fish have not died in her care.  Maybe tomorrow.

In other news, really flipping hot today.  Am all done with summer.
