Forest school

One from the weekend - the eldest at forest school, which seemed to involve making mud pies and toasting marsh-mellows.  I was drinking coffee and reading the paper whilst this was going on. It was bliss.

We've all been tired today.  The youngest went to sleep at dinner last night, then woke up at 7,30 (as the eldest went to sleep), and finally went back to sleep at 10.30.  We all then had to go out and get the husband at 11pm from his trip to London, getting back about an hour and a half later as the road was closed on the way home.  I was accused of being tired when I took a wrong turn, I strongly denied this, even though it was blatantly true.

I took the boys to 'baby rhyme time' at the library today.  We're ready to graduate from this.... The eldest competed with the singing very loudly and the youngest crawled around disinterested in everything. The mothers with tiny babies weren't too impressed.

This afternoon we headed off to John Lewis (the fun never ends).  The sale started today and we got a bit excited about potential bargains for the new kitchen.  Came away empty handed and once again disappointed by John Lewis - not the same place it was.

Husband has fallen asleep getting the youngest asleep..... tough gig.
