Broad Bodied Chaser (Libellula depressa)

Third of three back-blips from our Devon camping trip. I tried for ages to capture this fellow in flight, but with only my walkabout lens this was the best I could do. Yes, of course I took all my lenses with me in the camper! Yes, of course I didn't have the right lens with me at the time... 'tis a truism, you never have the right lens.

In the extra I also came across an adolescent, although possibly not of this Broad Bodied Chaser. There were a few of these in the pond, working their way up the leaves to eventual launch into summer...
