Pye Flatts Meadow Photography Outing

An early start for us on our annual camera club outing to Pye Flatts which meant I'd made one circuit around the large field before most of the others arrived.  I'd decided that this year I'd try for the insects rather than the orchids (though I might go back as the orchids are very prolific this year).  I'm not sure what kind of fly this is (doesn't seem to be in my book, but then there are many more that might not appear) but I quite liked the pose.  

Another very hot day, though overcast in the evening.
