First of my few days of backblipping, and it was a London day.
I took Harry to the street photography exhibition at Tate Britain (which I believe has now finished), and headed out to do some of our own. We walked from Vauxhall to the Imperial War Museum to see the Cecil Beaton exhibition, but decided against going in after seeing the ticket prices - being a Tate Member slightly spoils me I think. From there we headed back to the Southbank then wandered to Tas for a late lunch/mid-afternoon snack. It looked like it was about to pour, but we took a chance and ate outside anyway. Refreshed, we walked on to Tate Modern, had a look around The Tanks (still very cool), then sat outside people watching/snapping. Back to Waterloo and a very crowded train. We ended up sat on a 6-seater with 4 middle-aged people discussing photography (they didn't really know much at all, we both considered joining in).
I took this on the Southbank, opposite Westminster. A couple were having their wedding photos taken. We walked past very sheepishly, aware we were in the background, as they danced and swirled and span around the pavement. I had loads of choices for blip today, and this was never one I really considered. But I actually do love it - those lampposts are always glorious, the resolute must-not-stare expressions of passers by, the hazy view of Vauxhall in the background.
