Abbeyhill
An archive shot; of one previously lost to the relentless march towards Air B'n'B and student accommodation that is driving the Edinburgh economy forward.
What planners have to balance is the need to accommodate all these tourists and actually leave them something to look at whilst they visit Embra. There will be no Cigstours if you keep painting out the Cigstags!!! Sheesh, it's not rocket science. Not everyone wants to look at the castle or Holyrood or the Royal Mile or the museums or the galleries or the bridges or the monuments or the New Town or the Old Town or the gardens and parks or the biodiversity of the Water of Leith or climb Arthur's Seat or enjoy the beach at Portobello or visit the parliament building or dine in any number of fine eateries. If you destroy all the Cigstags, what will people do, eh?
Originally shot 31 January 2015; it's the best shot I have of this; another one that got away...
In other news, the laptop is in intensive care; hence the slow trickle of blippage this week.
