Oxford Rain

I took my car to Oxford to see if the noises under my car were anything bad. Apparently not. The most likely cause was loose shingle from the excessively high ridge the road grader left in the middle of the road. It was certainly quite an experience when I crossed it.

It’s been raining all day. Oxford, on the other side of the Waimakariri River, gets heavier rain than we do. They don’t have nearby hills to break the southerly. The Malvern Hills provide us with shelter and our rain is a fine mist.
