Loch Kinnord

Loch Kinnord is close to Ballater and is in a wildlife reserve . You can do a pleasant 3-4 mile walk round the loch on good tracks . We took advantage of continuing good weather to do the walk today . I came armed with some binoculars but only saw some Greylag geese and  a couple of herons . We did however enjoy spotting some wildflowers ( speedwell and tormentil ) , saw a lot  of water lilies , and continued to try and hone our tree spotting skills . After that we went to the Riverside Cafe at Cambus O' May for lunch  which was excellent and  I'd thoroughly recommend .
