San Francisco #Day2

Alcatraz. Less "touristy" than I imagined thankfully. And much more powerful than expected. The audio commentary was surprisingly moving.

The fact that the island, which is now a National Park, is returning to nature - and the bird life which now dominates - was fascinating to see. In particular the nesting snowy egrets were utterly captivating. Hopefully caught some close up shots of those on the main camera.
