Schipol

As a consequence of the change in the time of our flight to Amsterdam we have quite a bit of time at Schipol before the Aberdeen flight. Happily this coincides with lunch time so we stopped off at the Bubbles bar for a snack and Prosecco.

Of the various food points in Schipol Airport this is the one I prefer for the seafood on offer, in particular herring. On this occasion the herring was sold out, so I opted for eel instead. Still very nice, but not quite as good as traditional Dutch herring. No queue to leave Schengen this time, early afternoon must be a quiet time

Our Aberdeen flight was slightly delayed, about forty minutes. The aircraft had just come in from Bologna. For the first half of the flight the air conditioning was set to Compensate for Italian ground temperature, so the aircraft was quite cold. Eventually they noticed and turned the heating on. The weather in Aberdeen was quite good, somewhat to my relief as I was dressed for Italy and not for the frozen north.
