Tip Turkeys

Took a ride out to Bunya tip this afternoon to dump the builder's rubble generated by the renovations. I couldn't believe the number of ibis that hang out at this place.

At one time these birds only inhabited freshwater wetlands, swamps, tidal mudflats, etc. Now, given their traditional feeding grounds have been reduced with development (as well drought), they are a permanent fixture in the 'burbs ...especially at the tip.
