Discovery

I saw a load of little caps on the ground as I was walking Cousteau this afternoon. On further investigation, I discovered that they belonged to the is gum tree. The caps had fallen off, revealing the flower within. Fascinating stuff.

It's been a day of getting bits and bobs done as we prepare for Mr B's departure tomorrow. He's got six days' head start on us, to drive 4000 km to Darwin. He's all packed up and ready to go.

Out for dinner with broinlaw, MB and his wife, NB. A lovely evening, but we're tired and ready to hit the sack now.
