Flying Off The Handle

Our baby woodies are growing fast and really not surprising as they are constantly in the garden checking out the al fresco dining menu consuming vast amounts of nuts from the feeder. 

Our Great Spotted Woodpecker seems to have camped out and laid claim to the provisions on a permanent basis. It flies off the handle at the slightest intrusion. The starlings reign torrents of seed down on it's head, the sparrows are irritating it but small beer whilst  the blue tits and great tit babies are pretty feisty but nothing dares to come too close except the magpie babies, which show it who's boss as they are the same size as their parents now!

I took this through the window carefully so as not to frighten it and just a crop.
