The very hungry caterpillar.
Up again at dawn this morning although this time I was aided by the flock of sheep that had somehow made their way into the campsite from an adjacent field. Therein lies one of the beauties of leaving the tent open when one kips; one never knows who will drop in and say hello. Or baa.
Managed to lose another two fish today but was saved the dreaded blank by an obliging little brown trout. Thanks little trutta.
It was whilst taking down the tent I found this blighter attempting to move in and I'm embarrassed to say I know not what it is; or rather what it will become.
It looks like cross between a Cinnabar moth caterpillar and that for the Large White butterfly.
Any aspiring lepidopterists out there who can help. ScotNatureBoy, can you?
