Seriously? .... No, not us!

Saturday 24th June 2017 (1764)

A slow start, it took us a while to get our act together and get the bikes sorted. First stop Hale, to check one section of my next parish walk. 10 mins, job done. 

Then on to Halewood where we abandoned the car on a housing estate and took to the bikes along the Trans Pennine Trail (we didn't go trans pennine by the way!). A lovely ride along an old railway route, then cut across to Calderstones where we had a lovely ice cream. Followed national cycle route 56 to Sefton Park and on to the bank of the Mersey. Stopped for lunch and then cycled to Otterspool along the front. Back along the road, through Sefton Park and round the lake. Hit a problem with the plan as we came round this corner! Cycled 21 miles and my ankle stood up to everything except the uphills! 

Back home to two double G&Ts before tea. That was a mistake, as can be seen in the extras!!!  There really is no hope for some people. :-)))

Laughter is a great tonic ... especially when mixed with gin! 

If you are wondering where Physivic is on this adventure, unfortunately he is missing in action ..... otherwise understood as we've both forgotten who has him and where he is. Oops!
