Guarding the ducklings
There are such a lot of potential predators for these baby eider ducks that the females have a full time job keeping them safe. Lovely to see that these little bundles of fluffy feathers have survived so far. They were really enjoying themselves in the weed at the bottom of the slipway, but the mothers were keen to move them away to somewhere more secluded.
Still not 100%, but now have antibiotics so I'm expecting to be tickety boo by the weekend!
