Viva la vida

Viva let's go! Live life! That is the name of the new image of artist Juan Ripollés placed in the heart of Kerkrade.
Today the work of art would be finished, but the workmen were still busy when I took the picture.
The fence only goes away when the plinth is tiled and the lighting is applied.
But I found it was a good time to show the artwork of the Spanish artist.
The artist is from the Valencia region in Spain. A region where wind music plays an important role. The image therefore has two of its many hand blowing instruments.

The image is 11 meters high and it is an ode to the good life in Kerkrade of the future, Viva la vida, Kerkrade celebrates life.
