Healing Comfrey?

I had a nasty fall on Wednesday and one of my followers suggested an infusion of Comfrey to remove the bruising (see Extra).

This plant went rampant in our garden 35 years ago when we moved in. We thought we'd got rid of it until it reappeared last year. We had thought it might be Comfrey, it certainly reminds me of the colour of a bruise.

BTW this is my arm, which doesn't hurt very much. Thanks for the well wishes about my sore leg (which hurts but is hardly bruised!)
