Another farewell

Well, I managed to keep going all of yesterday without a rest, but was really flaking around 10:30pm, so no chance of blipping, and today has been equally busy/draining, so doing this on Saturday night, in fact it is early Sunday morning...

Didn't go to church today as we had to practice for our contribution at the SA service, which was to celebrate the work of The Bearcrofts, who are moving back to the UK to take up a new post.

We had a great service witch contributions from all the different groups. I love the uniforms. It makes everyone look so smart. My blip is of the Sharjah group presenting a gift, or rather, getting ready to.

Got home for enough time to catch our breath before heading out again to meet friends Miriam and Suguna for Iftar, We'd seen a great deal that the Dome were offering when we were at their Bur Juman branch to sign bank papers. Well, not sure what was happening at their Jumeirah branch, but for starters, they didn't have all the advertised main course options to choose from their limited list; and then the waitress just could not understand what we were saying.

Anyway, we had a great catch up and the food was good. It was just the service that was appaling. We had to leave in a rush though, as G had managed to get a very short notice appointment (9pm) to have her hair trimmed. We were slightly late, but just as well as we had to wait!!

Got home too late again to contemplate blipping.
