What up NYC?
Just passing through on my way to Boston. I got called up on official Engineers Without Borders business. More to follow.
I will just say though, it amazes me how tiny cities can look from the air. Flying above something as massive as New York, you can almost imagine it as a plaything, and completely forget that as a pedestrian on a sidewalk you are overwhelmed with the height of the buildings dominating the sky and the oblivious crowds of people mobbing past you. These might be the two sides of feeling both our individual insignificance and our large-scale impacts. What do you suppose this little island looked like back before "white man" landed?
