Good cookies make good neighbors

This has happened several times: our young neighbors down the street like to party on their front porch into the wee small hours. Rather than risk angry neighbors, they do a pre-emptive strike with chocolate chip cookies and a hand-written note explaining about their party and offering their phone numbers in case they get too loud. They leave these on porches up and down the street. Those are some smart cookies!
