The Yellow Kowhai
I went out with the walking group, we started at Glendhu Bay and walked east back towards Wanaka Village. And yes, a passing shower came through and drenched us all, but we did manage to find a dry spot for our lunch at Damper Bay. Back to a cafe for a hot/cold drink.
The Kowhai tree is a native to NZ, and some of the trees are in flower at the moment. This is a typical NZ scene, snow covered mountains with a Kowhai in flower. It was another lovely day out.
