Cultural evening

A concert at Laboule - a pretty village about an hour away - was an excuse for a drive and to get out and about. Indeed a trip down memory lane as it was the village where a friend bought a house the same time as I did, probably thirty years ago.
The image is not of the piano tuner but the pianist deciding the strings needed plucking directly. Some very modern American composer called Crumb. That aside the concert was a traditional mix with a Bach basis, (almost back to basics) and was enjoyable.
As was the wine and nibbles afterwards including a chat with the pianist who had English and Turkish parents, was born in Switzerland, brought up in France and studied for a music degree in Geneva and an anthropology degree in London. Some peoples' lives just are not simple.
