Launch

... of the summer season. This year's banda was Espèce de Fanfare, a bit different from the usual. A bunch of hipsters playing pop tunes such as Dance to the Music and Twist and Shout. They were good fun. Thank goodness I will soon have plenty of opportunities to restore my blip mojo. More photos here.

Meanwhile it was the usual eating, drinking, and gossip to celebrate the start of the summer. I beat a retreat at about 2 p.m., but some hardy souls were still at it when we left the house to water the garden at seven o'clock. Sore heads in the morning I reckon.
