Blickling Hall

We took a trip up to Blickling today, via the charity shop to offload some stuff.  Thanks to Bom for telling us about the sculpture exhibition.  Though my thanks might have some reservations, since we spent rather a lot of money - no doubt the purchases will appear on blip in the days to come.

We first had a look round the sculptures, then, whilst they were packing up our purchases, we went for a walk around the lake, followed by a rather nice cream scone.

Despite the not very sunny weather, there were lots of insects around - once again, I realised how much more I am seeing as a result of blip.  On one patch of bramble, in just a few minutes, we saw a red soldier beetle, a ringlet butterfly, and another flower beetle, which happened to decide to fly just as I was taking the photo, so by pure chance I captured the wonderful iridescent body (in extras)
