Book club camp

For many years my book club has come to the island for camp every summer. The last few years, too many health ( or health of spouse) and age issues have made it a very small group ( like 2!). This year we decided to go to D's place on the Hood Canal .... ( can drive there..with one ferry from seattle). And there were 5 of us but one gal had to leave this same day. Another chapter, this. So that leaves 4 of us....on the hottest day of the summer in the mid 90s.... We spent some of the time inside!...some went for a swim. We talked about the book (the Turner House by Angela Flournoy) on the deck with the sunset over the Olympic mountains as it cooled down. I liked the little Buddha watching over lunch and D's dog, Panda, with her toy REXIE! ( this is for Fiona) More tomorrow!
