Trial Run - version 1

In previous winters we have made up bags of food  for the birds and hung them in the trees.  This year, after seeing references to bark butter by a number of blippers (hadn't heard of this previously)we thought we'd try offering the birds a slightly different menu.  It took a few weeks, and it's mainly the sparrows and the wax eyes who come but no sooner do we put it out than they are jockeying for position for their share.  The clever ones are those that sit on the ground picking up anything that falls.
