Heroes Square (Hosök) Budapest

This is Heroes square, or the rear view, it's a millennium monument for 1900. In 1989 a quarter of a million people turned up to the re-burial of Imre Nagy (Hungarian hero executed on the order of Khrushchev as a lesson to other leaders of socialist countries).
In the middle is Archangel Gabriel on top of the column in his right hand he holds the Holy Crown and his left the two barred apostolic cross, the rest are Magyar chieftains who lead the Magyar people into the carpathian basin. The top two chariots are a man using a snake as a whip symbolising war and a woman holding a frond representing peace.
