Eilean Donan Castle

Forecast for rain clearing.

Drove up the Great Glen then headed North West to Dornie and  went to see Eilean Donan Castle.
Quite wet on the journey but bright and breezy for our visit.
Lunch in the restaurant there with a view over the castle.

Had a wander along the shore path and underpass to Dornie itself.

Then drove along towards Kyle of Lochalsh to enjoy the Lochalsh forest walk in the shoreside grounds of Balmacara House. The walk goes along the shore driveway past the lodge and the house before returning through the woodland.

Back to Fort William for Fish and Chips the back to our holiday house for the evening and to pack.
