To Seaward

This is part of the view (as a stitched panorama) from our balcony at Batemans Bay. The scene really extends another 50 degrees or so around to the left but had I included that, the pano ribbon would have been very skinny indeed. Here we see the Clyde river reaching out to the Tasman Sea.

The Batemans Bay area has a population of 16000 or so although this figure easily doubles in peak tourism times. I plan to show you many more of the sights in the days to come.  In the second extra you can see a close up from the main view, featuring a couple of the very many jaunty looking "treasure islands" which sit just off the coast hereabouts. One can well imagine a scruffy looking eighteenth century Carribbean pirate ship rounding the point. "Avast ya lubbers. Shiver me timbers". I love that kinda talk.
