If it's Monday it must be Oban

Fifth day in a row of traversing the remoter and rural areas of Scotland, and today it was Oban, which sits on the Firth of Lorn in northern Argyll.

The bay is a near perfect horseshoe, protected by the island of Kerrera; and beyond Kerrera, the Isle of Mull. To the north, is the long low island of Lismore, and the mountains of Morvern and Ardgour.

Anyway, I was up here with the team co-hosting a carers event with Carers Trust Scotland. These events are always good to do, as it is so important to meet the 'real people' who use NHS and social care services.

Now back in Edinburgh, relaxing.

I hope you have had a similarly good day.
