Another trundle round the M25 to the flat after the cleaners had been and we'd had lunch. As usual, my upstairs neighbour spied me from her window and pounced from behind her front door as soon as I set foot on the premises. It feels like I am being stalked in my own home, and during most conversations she manages to have a pop at me about my (private) garden (which cannot be seen from any of the flats, or even the road). Every week in church I have to ask forgiveness for the less than neighbourly thoughts I have about her nagging. Just as I was about to go out for my book club meeting, she poked a note through my door about - yes, the garden! Grrrrrrrrr....
Book club was fun, and the time went all too fast. The book - The Thread by Victoria Hislop - went down well with everyone, and we had all learnt a lot about Greece and Thessaloniki that we hadn't known before.
