Searching

Whilst in Dover we spotted this Port of Dover Police RIB race into the harbour with it's blue lights going.

We'd seen them there before but there was something different this time. Within minutes it was joined by another Police RIB, 2 RNLI lifeboats, Harbour Pilot and two other boats and, within 40 mins, a Search & Rescue helo from RAF Wattisham.
It transpired they were searching for a missing swimmer a search that proved futile.

I spoke with an RNLI crewman the following day and it turned out that the missing swimmer was one my wife and I had been watching less than an hour before the search started; they were easily noticed as they were wearing a bright pink swimming cap.
