Dust Gate!

Oh the joy of living in an old property. My neighbour had his oak beams sandblasted today resulting in a ton of dust finding its way through the beams to my cottage.

At the time of writing I'm away overnight in Sussex while the neighbour is cleaning away the mess. I'm keeping everything crossed my hats aren't damaged or my aviation books.

Interestingly the sandblaster told me the beams are original 1700s and pointed out where black fly and death watch beetle had munched away at some of the beams in the past. If the beams could talk I bet they'd have some stories!
