Deluge

As I left home this morning it started to rain a bit. Just a shower, I thought, so I carried on to the bus stop, arriving at the optician's at mid-day. However, when I emerged at 12-45 pm the sky was dark and it was pouring down. I joined a crowd in the shopping centre entrance waiting for it to ease up a bit. Instead, the heavy rain pelted down accompanied by thunder. These two brave souls decided to make a run for the nearby café. I abandoned my trip to a photographic exhibition and will try to get there sometime in the week.
