Tiny Tuesday: St John's Explosion

Hypericum (or St John's Wort to give it its popular name), is not, to my mind at least, a terribly attractive plant.  However, they do seem to be really quite photogenic.  Is it something to do with the explosion of stamen radiating out from the centre?

In a way it has always seemed to me to be rather like those fashion models with quite striking features.  When seen without makeup in ordinary lighting  their strong features can cause them to look very strange, but when properly made up and lit in a photoshoot they look stunning.
