Banding a Roller Chick

Today was a travel day, from our wonderful pension in Hungary, south of Budapest, north into Slovakia. As we left we were joined by bird banders (ringers in UK parlance), who took us to a nest box with rollers; they took the two chicks and ringed them; this is the older (much larger than his younger sibling).  

At the moment I am catching up with my blips. In the evening of the day before yesterday we were hit by a violent storm (as bad as any I've seen, aside from a hurricane).  Power was out for over 24 hours, no internet. I'll backblip yesterday shortly--a long-eared owl.   Posted morning of 28/6.

I've now posted a shot of the storm's damage, on 2 July.
