Riverbank

I took a quick walk this morning, thinking the rain was off, and it promptly set in again. But the slight drizzle gave a gently misty look to the more distant landscape and everything had that damp softness that is so characteristic after summer rain. The trees and shrubs were weighed down with it and I spent half the walk trying to avoid impromptu soakings from the overhanging foliage.
